Introduction:

 

Event Management is the key process by which an event is planned, prepared and produced. Events can stimulate economies, develop community awareness, increase public involvement and improve qualities of life. Event management is unique, specialized and highly challenging. It encompasses a wide array of task and responsibilities and requires a high level of education. Learn to conduct effective event and meeting management, invention including needs assessment, site and situation analysis and feasibility studies are necessary. This training course is designed to provide with appropriate skills and knowledge required to plan a successful event, no matter how big or small.

 

The office of the Deputy Commissioner being a vital office of the government at the field level responsible to organize various local and national events and that needs to strengthen the capacity of the administrative officials in the areas of event management. In view of that, the present course has been designed.

 

Duration of Course:

It is a Five (5) days training course and usually there will be three sessions every day. However additional sessions may be arranged if and when necessary. The training is residential.

 

i) The Course Objectives:

 

At the end of the training course the participants will be able to:

  • Understand how to plan, design, co-ordinate and evaluate an event.
  • Recognize various types of event and understand their unique requirements.
  • Learn communication concept and brush-up on leadership abilities.

 

ii)   Training Methodology:

The training methodology of the course includes lecture and discussion, experience sharing, presentation and group discussion etc.

 

 

iii) Medium of Instruction:

The medium of instruction will be English and Bangla. However, use of English will be emphasized. The center encourages the participants to develop their oral and written English skills. It is expected that they engage themselves in free conversation in English as much as possible during the entire period of their stay at BIAM Foundation.

  8. Event Management: Organizing and Accomplishing;
  9. Event Management: Role of District Administration;
  10. National Event Management: Remuneration & Prevailage Acts, Personal Standard;
  11. Forms of Administrative Events: District Administration Perspective;
  12. Experience Sharing on Event Management;
  13. Experience Sharing & Group Work;
  14. Academic Event: Workshop, Seminar, Symposium;
  15. Protocol Guidelines: Govt. & Institutional Framework;
  16. Events and Media: Understanding media, the role of the media in the events management, the media and links to stakeholders;
